 This camp will provide a quick and accessible way for participants to learn Hypertext Markup Language. It will provide a resource, for beginners to intermediate coders, to improve their Web development skills. At the end of this camp, students should be able to develop simple Web pages on their own.

Art: Introduction to Drawing

 

                                Elements of Art: Introduction to Drawing

Students are introduced to the"building blocks"of art: line,shape,form,color,texture and space. Camp includes classroom discussion, examples, guided lessons and ample time for skill building. 
Istructor will present material on the six elements of art and their role in creating a work of art.
- Reference materials and worksheets sent home with each student will reinforce future drawing projects.
- A brief assignment will be sent home each day of camp and to be completed and returned the next morning.

Imagineers Camp

Spend 5 days with Orchard Lake St.Mary's staff and certified elementary and middle school teachers exploring the historic grounds of Orchard Lake campus and Orchard Lake. Enjoy learning from this talented group of educators as they build and demonstrate egg dynamics, the power of magnetism, the physics of flight, water properties, green energy and other enthralling science phenomena. Campers are encouraged to develop, construct, and build their scientific imagination at an early age. Let your kids become part of the exciting summer camp while discovering their personal scientific niche at Orchard Lake. Camp is limited, so please register early to secure a spot.

 

Students will be broken onto age appropriate groups.
Chicken Group: 5-7 Years Old
Beetles Group: 8-10 Years Old
Lizards Group: 11 and up

Plan, draw and construct a spaghetti bridge which will be tested by campers.
Egg Drop - Develop and construct a device to protect and egg using household items.
Water Balloon Catapult - Learn trajectory and angles by launching balloons at objects.
Learn about basic physics concepts such as energy and motion through fun take home projects.
Physics of Flight - Building and testing a rubber powered airplane.
Investigation into alternative energy solutions such as solar power.
Introduction to Astronomy and the Solar System.

Orchard Lake Softball Camp will cover all aspects of the softball game with focus on fundamentals and advenced play. Players can expect instructional softball camp experience while learning from the top Division 1 collegiate athlete.

Our softball camp is high strenght camp, designate to challenge players and set them on competetive level similar to high school (younger athletes) and college (older athletes). At the Orchard Lake Softball Camp, each player will receive individual attention based on their needs and abilities.

Girls Volleyball Camp

 

                                                Girls Volleyball Camp

The St. Mary's Volleyball Camp will be led by Bryan Lindstrom who is the Head Coach at Oakland Community College and JV Coach at Lahser High School. Coach Lindstrom is also a director for one of the premier club teams - Mizuno Legacy Volleyball. Daily instruction will cover basic to advanced level of skills in a fun-field and exciting atmosphere. Campers will receive hands on instruction from some of the best coaches in the area. Campers will compete in various drills and training stations, as well as participate in game-like situations. Weather you're beginner or competing for a schools team or sharpening your skills, the Orchard Lake St. Mary's Volleyball camp will prepare the students to attain their goals.

CAMP CHECK IN WILL BE July 30 from 8am - 9am at  Our Lady of Refuge School

All Campers will be divided by age and skill level!
Registration is limited!

Instruction/Skills - Passing, setting techniques, beginner and advance serving, approach and arm swing mechanics
Offensive/Defensive - Controlled scrimmages, offensive and defensive game planning, formations and strategies
Team and Individual Training - Stretching, strength, quickness and explosion ability

Whether a first-time soccer camper or an experienced player who seeks training, development and technique refinement for advanced play in club travel or high school leagues, the Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Soccer Camp provides all participants with the knowledge and skills needed to fulfill their soccer potential.
 
We offer Full-Day and Half-Day Soccer Camps, focusing on player development from fun introductory levels for the youngest players, to intense technical and tactical sessions for advanced players. 
 
The Soccer Camp is led by OLSM Varsity Soccer Coach Joe Ruffolo who begins his fourth season with the St. Mary’s Soccer Eaglets. Coach Ruffolo and the other coaches will group campers by age and skill level to ensure optimal balance of fun, challenge and skill development.

The Orchard Lake Football Camp develops a love for this great game. Campers will have the opportunity to develop offensive and defensive skills along with a positive mental approach. Under the direction of 3 time State Championship Coach George Porritt, campers will develop a passion for football and learn what it takes to realize their dreams and reach their personal goals. This is a serious football camp, devoted to individual improvement of each camper. Enrollment is limited; please register early to secure a spot.

All Campers divided by age and skill level
Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Offensive/Defensive Lineman, Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs

Quarterbacks - Footwork, Snaps, Ball Handling, passing, route reading, option techniques and more
Running Backs - Footwork, Ball Security, speed training, reading lanes, blocking, pass routes and more
Offensive/Defensive Line - Footwork, pass protection, run blocking (veer and trap included), rip, spin and swim moves, tackling techniques, gap control and more
Wide Receivers/Tight ends - Footwork, route running, receiving, blocking, releasing, pass routes and speed training
Linebackers - Footwork, tackling, gap control, alignment, zone/man coverage, speed, agility and shedding blocks
Defensive Backs - Footwork, agility, speed training, zone/man coverage, run support, jamming receivers, shedding blocks and breaking on the ball

Come play the fastest game on two feet. Learn the fundamentals of the game through the True Lacrosse Staff. True Lacrosse is excited to partner with OLSM and offer a brand new camp program. Select overnight or day camp that fit in your schedule and join us..

Instruction Includes - passing, catching, shooting, stick handling, offensive techniques, defensive techniques, skills, positioning, transition defense, checking, takeaway checks, drills, breakouts, ground balls, dodging and more.
Stations Include - Attack, Midfield, Defense and Goalies
Goalies - stance/positioning shot stopping, clearing, stick skills, communication, rebounds, drills and demonstrations.
Attack/Midfield - Shooting, dodging, face-off, riding/defense, feeding and much more.

                                Boys Traditional Overnight Basketball Camp

Since 1977, more than 32,000 campers have attended our summer camps. Campers stay on the campus of the Orchard Lake Schools in a semi-private dorm room under the supervision of the camp staff (5:1Camper/Counselor). Our coaching staff is committed to providing the best possible learning environment for campers to grow and develop to the best of their ability. Our goal of the camp is to provide a fun-filled atmosphere conducive to developing a love for the game.

Orchard Lake Basketball Coach George Porritt helps campers learn about themselves through the roller coaster experiences with sports while providing an excellent role model along with the coaches and counselors hired to work at any of the camps. Coach Porritts goal is to provide a fun-filled atmosphere conducive to developing a love for the game.
